No matter what the season, the beautiful scenery will be the back drop for wine tasting, cuisine, architectural and historical sights. Here is our itinerary;

 

Day 1

Our tour starts at the Marseille airport. From there you will be transferred to St. Remy de Provence, our home base in Provence for the trip. Just a short drive away, our Chateau awaits nestled in the heart of Provence. We spend the afternoon with a walking tour of the village. Welcome Dinner. D

Day 2

Take a day trip to Arles, home to Vincent Van Gogh, as we see first hand what inspired him as well as the museum dedicated to his work. We explore the Amphitheatre and ancient ruins left behind by the Romans. We visit a local patisserie and see how they produce those delectable treats. Of course we can’t leave without having samples. Stroll the cobblestone streets and visit the small shops of this medieval village. B, L

Day 3

Take a daytrip to Aix en Provence and experience market day as many local producers display their crafts at this very traditional French market. Visit the newly renovated Paul Cezanne museum. We top the day off with a tour of an olive orchard and a sampling of this age old tradition. B,D

Day 4

We'll travel to the famous Chateau-neuf du Pape. Once the vacation home of the Pope, it is now one of the region's greatest vineyards. Here we have a long leisurely lunch and learn a bit about pairing wine with cuisine. We follow this up with a wine tasting session. We then visit the small village of Orange followed by the Pont du Gard. B, L

Day 5

With an early start, we go shopping with the chef at the local market followed by a jaunt in the kitchen where we enjoy a cooking lesson. And yes of course we will have that creation for lunch. Afterwards, its off to the home of the Pope's Palace, we tour Avignon. Visit the massive palace and top it off with a wine tasting of the Palace's top selections within the region. B, L

Day 6

It’s your last full day in Provence. What would be better than having a lavender spa experience in one of upper Provence’s most famous spas? In Digne les Bains, you’ll have the afternoon free and then we’ll cap off this fantastic journey with a farewell feast of “provencale” proportions. B, D

Day 7

Depart from Marseille direct to Charles de Gaulle Airport. Return Home
